Colonels Inn - Ooty

The rooms at Colonels Inn were absolutely cozy and comfortable! I loved the seating area and the flat-screen TV, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring Ooty. The private bathroom was clean and had everything I needed.

Personally, I didn't really like the sound-insulated walls in the room. I understand that it's meant to provide a quiet environment, but I felt it made the room a bit too enclosed.

Neat and clean apartment with location not far from botanical garden & shopping area, city centre and restaurants, everything was in order. The staff were helpful people, I had a VERY LOVELY stay for 2 nights. Didn't expect such a perfect place, would come here again.

I chose Colonels Inn because it was conveniently located near the Government Botanical Garden, which I wanted to visit. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the free in-room WiFi, which allowed me to stay connected during my stay. The presence of a restaurant on the premises was also a plus, as it provided a convenient dining option.

Maintenance was not that great. Walls had wet patches with worn-out paint, and one of the power sockets was not working.

A very comfortable stay is how I would like to describe our recent visit to Ooty. The location of the hotel was very accessible to many places and the staff were very friendly. We had access to a kitchen, a lifesaver as we were traveling with a toddler. The hotel was neat and clean, and the rooms were cozy. We also enjoyed the hot water and the free WiFi provided. The breakfast served was delicious and tasted like restaurant-quality food. Despite a few minor drawbacks, overall I would highly recommend this hotel for a good value stay in a central location.

The rooms have wooden flooring, antique furniture, and a large bathroom. The first floor has a pool table and carrom. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the botanical garden and Charing Cross. The a la carte dinner menu offers a surprising variety of tasty food. The staff is outstandingly helpful.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, just outside the town center, with easy access to the Botanical Gardens and the Sacred Heart cathedral. The cleanliness of the hotel was really good, and the facilities were great. I especially enjoyed the spacious halls and the huge terrace with its amazing view of the green mountains. The staff was friendly and courteous, always ready to meet my needs. The breakfast served here was delicious, and I loved the fact that it was freshly cooked in the home-kitchen. this hotel provided a great value for money.

My experience at Colonels Inn was marred by one minor setback. The room I was allocated happened to be situated adjacent to the kitchen, resulting in audible noises of conversations and dining activities late into the night.

Everything about this place is amazing! The snooker table is super fun and well-maintained, and there are lots of books to read. The ornate furnishings are jaw-dropping, and everything is kept soooo clean. They even provide a room heater when needed. The staff, including Gopal and the grandmother, are incredibly kind, and the food is mind-blowing. I would definitely recommend this must-stay location. Centered in a great location, it's the perfect place to stay while exploring.

The room was comfortable with a heater and free Wi-Fi, which was a nice bonus. the hotel's location was great, just a short walk from the town center and the botanical garden. It was convenient to be able to explore Ooty easily. the staff were polite and tried their best to meet our needs, which made our stay more enjoyable.

The breakfast menu lacked variety, especially for a family travelling with a toddler. It would have been nice to have more options available.
